ABOUT MAJOR

Jescelle enjoys the creative arts including writing, craft and making. Jescelle began pursing the Arts seriously at Design and Architecture Senior High where she studied both fine arts, art and architectural history and architecture. While she rarely practices fine arts she does still enjoy creative endeavors and proudly serves on the Seattle Arts Commission and as Co-Chair of the Seattle Public Art Advisory Committee. Jescelle enjoys event design, has her bartender’s license and especially loves cocktail mixology that feature herbal remedies, tinctures and blooms and swirls of florals and fruit. Jescelle is also in training to become a certified or registered yoga teacher. She can’t wait to host you for a MajorBloom workshop, meditative garden moments and herbal, medicinal meals over hand turned creations, blooms and social justice dialogue.

ABOUT BLOOM

Nicky Bloom is a queer landscape designer, garden and fabrication educator, and woodturner in the Pacific Northwest. Outdoor spaces that immerse people in a site’s unique and hidden stories inspire Nicky as a landscape designer. She finds meaning in growing her antiracist work in the design field, helping kids learn to design and build by hand, and sharing food and floral cocktails with her friends and family. Nicky is thrilled to have the opportunity to combine forces with the Powerhouse and Cocktail Genius that is Jescelle Major in this new business venture hatched over margaritas at a picnic table during an epic storm over the Puget Sound.
